WELCOME TO THE ALIAS BLOG!

With its graffitied exterior and wraparound windows, Alias Restaurant sits on the bustling corner of Clinton & Rivington in the heart of the Lower East Side.

Don’t be fooled though by its funky façade.  Inside is a neighborhood gem with some serious cooking going on!

On any given lunch, brunch or dinner, you’ll see locals of all ages talking to each other and enjoying the casual, friendly atmosphere – not surprising – the owners are always there and they know everyone, they’ve run restaurants on Clinton Street for more than a decade, including the iconic 71 Clinton Fresh Foods.

Their passion for food shows – especially with the recent arrival of Marcellus Coleman behind the stove.  Chef Coleman brings an impressive pedigree with a background that includes stints at Aureole, 11 Madison & WD50.  He was also a winner of the food network ‘Chopped’ series and is being touted as a rising young star on the NY culinary scene.

Together Coleman and Alias are out to prove that ‘Great food doesn’t have to be expensive’ - You only need to try chef’s seasonal, market–inspired 3-course dinner menu ($35 to $45) to see what they mean!

True to its roots of offering something for everyone, Alias also offer staples like burgers, Tacos and Nachos, but don’t be surprised if Coleman has added a little twist!

With an inspired wine, beer and cocktail list, Alias is the kind of restaurant every neighborhood dreams of - Pop in for a burger at $10 or sit down to a gourmet 3-course meal at a price you can afford – the world is your oyster!
